Erin Jewett

Dedicated to building balance, awareness, and lasting partnerships between horse and rider.

With nearly 30 years of experience, Erin has been part of the Summerwood Stables team for over 8 years. A lifelong horsewoman, she began riding at age 8 and has competed across many disciplines, from hunters and western events to drill team and saddleseat, before finding her passion in dressage and biomechanics.

After serving in the United States Marine Corps, Erin returned to riding and developed a specialty in equine rehabilitation, working with horses facing challenges such as kissing spine, navicular syndrome, conformation flaws, and chronic lameness.

Her teaching philosophy focuses on rider awareness—showing how small adjustments can create major improvements in a horse’s movement, comfort, and longevity. Erin works with all breeds and disciplines, tailoring her approach to help every horse-and-rider partnership thrive.
